Enough can never be said about the benefits
of fitness training in the water.
I would love to show
you the benefits, joy, and life long love of
aquatic training! Make an appointment with me so
that I can tailor a workout to your needs!

Benefits of Aquatic Training:

Multidirectional resistance - promotes balanced strength training for muscle development, maximum cardio effect in cardio training programs, full range of motion in joints to promote joint health, stability and strength.

Limited Impact Due to Buoyancy Factor - Based upon the depth of the water and your height, the impact on feet, knees, hips and spinal areas can be reduced by up to 90% of land exercises. This means that people with joint degeneration, Arthritis, chronic pain and inflammation of lower joints, or any other weight bearing injury can still benefit from the effects of a vigorous and varied workout. In addition, deep water exercises offer a 100% impact free workout!

Great for Injury Recovery
- Whatever hurts, we can work around it in the pool. It is easy to isolate the muscles you want to work and protect the ones you need to. You can work one side of your body and not the other, the agonist and not the antagonist muscle group, or even just upper and not lower body. With the reduced impact and the multidirectional resistance, water training is great for balance and protection in joint recovery injuries. Even back injuries are also encouraged to try the aquatic world of fitness training!

Weight Loss - Overweight individuals who are not comfortable walking on a treadmill or jumping around in a cardio class, will find the aquatic environment comforting, encouraging and a great workout all in one!

More For Your Effort
- Believe it or not, in a proper aquatic workout, studies have shown greater balanced muscle development, more effective cardio rates, and longer lasting effects when compared with land based equivalent workouts. A balanced workout performed properly by the individual will result in less pain and more long term results than most land based workouts.

Individualized Group Workouts - In the water you can vary your own level of intensity and difficulty by altering your hand, leg, and arm positions during your workout. Using the properties of resistance in the water, 20 different people can be experiencing 20 different workouts from the same instructor at the same time. The addition of aquatic gloves for increased resistance can also alter your workout effect. Learn about the properties of water and how to manipulate it for your maximum workout!

Variety - Water workouts can take so many forms, there is one for everyone! Just to list a few: water walking for leg strength and joint stability, water jogging for resistance cardio training, aquacise for cardio-strength training, power training combining strength and high intensity cardio in one workout, yaqua for balance and focus, low level cardio, high level cardio, deep water cardio, deep water toning, aqua step, and on and on!

FUN - Water workouts are just plain FUN! You may come in from a tough day, tired, not really wanting to participate and leave feeling great about what you have done in class. Your mind, body and spirit will benefit from this experience. Only you will know what it really does for you when you give it a try!
